Jagi is made by one person, so the answer comes from a human rather than a queue. Most questions are already answered below. If yours is not, write and it gets read.
THE SHORT VERSION
- Email [email protected] and you will normally hear back within two working days.
- Tell us your phone, your operating system version, and the app version from Settings. It saves a round trip.
- Billing, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us.
- You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app.
01Write to us
Write to [email protected]. Bug reports, questions, refund confusion, feature ideas and complaints all go to the same address, and it is read by the person who builds the app.
If something is broken, four things make it much faster to fix: which phone you are on, which version of iOS or Android, the app version shown in Settings, and what you did just before it went wrong. A screenshot or a screen recording is worth more than any description.
There is also a shortcut inside the app. Settings has a "tell us something" entry that sends your note straight to us without opening your mail app.
02Coming from Joy
Jagi used to be called Joy. It is the same app, the same account and the same developer, rebuilt and renamed. If you signed in to Joy before, sign in the same way you did then, with the same Apple, Google or email account, and everything you had is still attached to it.
If you cannot remember which method you used, write to us with the email address you think you used and we will tell you which one the account is on. We cannot move an account from one sign-in method to another, so it is worth checking before you create a second one.
03Pairing with your partner
Jagi only works once you and your partner are bonded. One of you invites, the other accepts, and from that point the two accounts share a bond. You both need the app installed, on either platform. An iPhone and an Android phone pair together with no difference.
If an invite does not go through, the usual causes are that the link was opened on a device without the app, that the invite was already used, or that one of the two accounts is still bonded to someone else. An account can only be in one bond at a time, so leave the old bond first.
04Notifications are not arriving
Start with your phone. Jagi cannot send you anything until notifications are allowed for it in your system settings, and a Focus mode or Do Not Disturb will hold them back even when they are allowed.
Then check inside the app. Jagi splits notifications into groups so you can keep the ones you want and silence the rest, and a group that is off stays off. If everything looks correct and nothing arrives, sign out and back in once. That refreshes the token your phone gives us, which can go stale after a long time away or after restoring from a backup.
05Widgets and the lock screen
Widgets are added from the home screen itself, not from inside Jagi. Long press an empty area of the home screen, choose to add a widget, then find Jagi in the list. Several sizes and kinds are available, and iPhone also has lock screen widgets.
Widgets are refreshed by the system rather than by us, so a minute or two of delay is normal and expected. If a widget stays empty, open the app once so it has fresh data to hand over, and check that you are bonded.
06Jagi Forever, restoring and refunds
Jagi Forever is the paid version. It comes as a monthly plan, a yearly plan, or a single payment that never renews. One purchase covers both of you, so only one of you ever needs to pay.
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Use the restore option on the paid screen while signed in to the same Apple or Google account that paid. That is the only way a purchase comes back, and it is instant.
Cancelling and refunds are not something we can do for you. Apple and Google take the payment, hold the subscription and issue the refunds. Cancel a plan in your App Store or Play Store account settings, and ask for a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play. If a payment went wrong in a way the store cannot explain, write to us anyway and we will help you work out what happened.
07Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app, in Settings. It removes your account and the content attached to it, and it ends the bond. It cannot be undone, and we cannot bring an account back after it is gone.
Deleting your account does not delete your partner's account. Anything they sent you is theirs and stays with them. If you only want to leave the bond and keep your account, there is a separate option for that.
If you cannot reach the app at all, write to [email protected] from the address on the account and we will do it for you.
08Your data
What we collect, where it is held and how long it stays is written out in full in our privacy policy. The rules you and we both agree to are in the terms of use.
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, and to have it erased. Ask at the address below and we will answer within one month.
